 In the run-up to the Olympics and in conjunction with major works being undertaken by Crossrail, the knock-on effect to Central London is a vast amount of traffic, which in turn results in journeys taking longer.
Advance warning has been announced by Transport for London that from 2 June 2012 there will be 100 days of road closures due to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations and following this the Olympics whereby lanes will be implemented solely for the use of Olympic personnel.
Taking the above into account, together with the huge influx of tourists visiting London for these celebrations will in turn see a high demand on taxis, it is for this reason that we would highly recommend early booking over this period.
